A few tips to help your ITIN application go smoothly:

Names

  • Enter your name in English exactly as it appears in your passport.
  • Most applicants do not have a middle name — leave it blank if you don't.

Country of birth

  • Write the full country name. Do not abbreviate (e.g. write "Thailand", not "TH").

Documents

  • Upload clear images with no strong glare. Make sure all text is readable.
  • Do not submit expired documents.
  • A valid passport is the strongest document. Applying without one increases the chance of rejection.

Payment

  • Pay the exact amount shown, then upload your slip for verification.
  • Each payment slip can be used only once.

Contact

  • The IRS does not call applicants directly. Unexpected calls claiming to be the IRS are usually fraud.
  • Keep your LINE reachable — it's how we'll contact you if needed.
